I cant get activesyn to set up a partnership with my medion 95900. I get an error message saying that there's a problem with a file and to restart the system and try again. I do this and...Same problem! Anyone had this situation and found a cure?

Try updating to the latest version of Activesync (Version 8) this might help.

no it won't help.

according to medion tech support it can't establish a partnership.

only guest account is possible as it is a PNA and not a PDA...

Sorry thats wrong about not being able to set up a partnership as mine can and thats a PNA175 and that is not a guest partnership but a full one.

Thanks to you guys for your help. I've sold the Medion and bought an Acer N35 with satnav. The software isn't as good but there must be an alternative I can load that won't cost an arm and a leg. Anyone got any suggestions?

I too spoke to Medion and was told that the 95900 won't setup a Partnership, as the OS isn't a full blown version of CE.

Before speaking to them, I tried it on three PCs (W2K SP3, W2K SP4 & XP professional SP2), I then tried the latest version of ActiveSync 3.8 on all the above and it still didn't work.

I then confirmed with Medion that the 95900 (200S) wasn't able to setup a partnership, nor were you able to backup in Guest mode.

Now if anyone would like to say otherwise, then let me know, as I'm getting a little hacked off with POIWarner re-installations when the battery dies.

Iam sorry I really dont understand what the problem is? Stop it!

I have a partnership with my PNA175 and have backed up my PNA175 many times and restored it on many occassions and all in non guest mode e.g with a partnership.

I use Activesync 8 with this and my 2 Ipaqs that I have and have no problems whatsoever with it.

Still thats all I am going to say on this as its obviously not making one bit of difference that I can do it yet Medion say you cant!

Still if they say it cant be done then who am I too say otherwise if mine is working perfectly? Not Worthy

Goodluck

Regards

tel33

P.S Iam looking directly at my Activesync connection and the partnership (Adysgps and not a guest partnership I might add) I have with it right now and I can move files etc with no problems and it is synced up with no problems whatsoever so make of that what you will Medion Gun Shoot Out

Maybe that's it ? The Medion 95900 is PNA200S and not a PNA175.

So whilst it may work ok on a PNA175, I can deffo tell you it doesn't work on a PNA200S, as per my experiances and as per the info from Medion.
