TTN5 Maps on a GO 300?

I am on the verge of accepting a refund offer from TomTom because TTN5 does not work with my ipaq 4700.
Does anyone know if the maps for TTN5 can be activated to work on a GO 300? I installed one of the European maps on my GO 300 and got to the activation screen and chickened out!

yes, should work. Maps are not tied to a hardware platform per se, just to a device ID.
