BT 77 HELP

Great forum! My first!
I had recently bought the BT 77. I have an Ipaq rx3000 Series (think is rx3417) PPC and TOMTOM Navigator 3.01. The pairing between the GPS and PPC seems ok. At TOMTOM, I select the GPS to NMEA 0183v2 9600 and Bluetooth Serial Port COM8, but nothing happens. It just says the GPS position is unreliable.
The bluetooth connection drops about 2 minutes after connection. Whenever it is connected, at the bluetooth status, it shows it is connected, but there is no activity on either sent or received data.
What seems to be the problem? Can someone help me? A friend of mine has the same software and uses an QTEK S100 and he had no problems with it.
