SD card incompatibilities?

My 1gb card is recognised in my PC but not in my Acer N35.

It's strange because the 256mb card is fine.

I'm considering buying anouther card but I don't know which one to choose.

Ever heard of this before?

I would imagine that people would need to know the operating system on both your PC and PDA before they could start to make suggestions.
