I have seen some reports of people PDA's hanging after exiting from TT5 for a period of time from 30 secs to 5 mins. I have not however seen any resolutions or workarounds for this.

I have a Dell Axim X50v and mine hangs for approx 5 mins on exit, aftre it has been navigating, so far with no solution found.

Someone mentioned 'clearing the route' as a solution to a problem, but i'm not sure it was this problem. If 'clearing the route' will solve my hang, can someone tell me what 'clearing the route' involves please!?

Regards

Jon

I have notified TT support and will post here when they respond to me. Thanks to the forum in advance.

"Clear Route" is actually a menu item, somewhere hidden in the menu tree.

My X50v sometimes hangs too, though I've never had the patience to wait 5 mins for it - I just do a soft reset.

Hi,
mine appeared to be hanging (O2 XDAiis), but just wasn't re-painting the today screen.

Removed tomtom as an item on the today screen, and it is now ok (except for turning bluetooth off, and only using the external keyboard!! Angry )

Mine hung on exit - iPaq 4700. I had been running a demo route, but had cleared it before I tried to exit the program. I didn't have the patience to see if it would come back (I hadn't read this thread then) so I just did a soft reset.

This problem appears on all VGA devices. Clearing the route before exit isn't a solution.

I think the only solution is to wait for Tomtom to release a fix (hopefully, they didn't fix it from ttn2004).
