My TTN5 upgrade has just arrived, but before I install it, I want to move to a bigger card (I'm currently isng a 256MB CD card). I'm thinking of getting a 1GB SD card because SD cards are supposed to be faster. However, there was a pronlem with SD cards on TTN3 when used in conjunction with a bluetooth receiver. Does this problem exist in TTN5?

Also, I'm using an HP 2210, which has an SD slot and a CF slot. Will it work with an SD and a CF card fitted? Will TTN5 work with 2 cards fitted?

You can use CF and SD in the 2210 at the same time for double storage but...

The 2210 SD drivers are not too good when using SD cards to store maps. Many people in the past have reported lockups and suchlike when using SD cards for GPS in the 2210. I'm not saying that SD cards wont work, just that there is a possibility. Just be careful which brand of SD card you choose, CF on the other hand are pretty rock-solid in performance.

I use a 1GB CF card in mine and have had trouble free usage with all sat nav software that I have tried. This includes TTN3, SmartSTv2&3, Anquet Maps, Mapopolis and Memory Map.

As far as the 2210 and GPS is concerned I would use CF every time.
Go for something like an Ultra II and speed should not be an issue.

If I've already installed on an SD card, will I be allowed to re-install onto a CF card?
