I would be interested to know what the latest order number is to have been shipped. Mine is 645### on 30/6 and the status is shown as 'Warehouse'.

I know TT say to allow 5 weeks for delivery, but you would think that they would turn around orders as quickly as possible. (Or do they just have one old guy working in a dusty warehouse shuffling around and getting an order ready every hour ??)

Order 623*** ordered 21/6, card debited same day (yes, debited, not "set aside" or any other such rubbish.

No sign, still in warehouse.

Doubly unhappy as I change from a Loox to an MDA Compact because TomTOm have dropped support for the Loox from Nav5.

Installed Nav3 on the MDA so I could keep SatNav while I waited - that used up my one free reinstall. The MDA went wrong, so when I got the new one I emailed TomTom the proof of replacement and asked for a new activation code.

"Unfortunately, we cannot reactivate your product code due to the fact it was used to order the upgrade to Navigator 5. With the upgrade you will receive a new product code that can be used for future activations."

That was on the 1st July. I have been without SatNav now for over 3 weeks, waiting for an upgrade which isn't coming.

Because I stupidly gave them money for a product they haven't given me, I can't use the product I already paid for either!

This morning I checked once again and the status was slightly weired... said authorised but no shipping status. I then got an email later on saying it had shipped. In fact two emails, one with the invoice and the other with the UPS reference etc.

If I now check my order status it says captured but nothing under shipping status. Because I am away next week (driving in Italy when the maps would have been handy and one reason for the upgrade). But slightly naughtily I've now got hold of TT5 and a map of Italy but don't feel guilty because I ordered and paid for it anyway.

But I had to phone UPS today to make sure they don't try delivering until I get back since if UPS fail to deliver about 3 times then they give up and send back the package (I think).

My order by the way was placed on 5/7 and is numbered 656xxx so surely earlier orders must have shipped by now?

Mine just arrived.

However, after two four day business trips without Sat Nav, thanks to the TomTom bungles, I've found that I can still survive with a pair of eyes and an atlas.

TomTom 5 seems okay, but nothing to write home about.

Be interesting to see if there are any map updates ...
