If you download ov2tools from TomTom's site here you will have a tool called dumpov2.exe in the .zip file.

If, in Windows Explorer, you drag an .ov2 file to Dumpov2 it will create a Text file with ASC file extension.

Open the .asc file in Notepad, and remove the first rows of header text to the rows of co-ordinates. Also remove the 'excess' text at the end of the file.

Click the 'Save' icon and close Notepad.

In Explorer rename the file ext from .asc to .csv and hit Enter twice.

This will then inport into Navman.

I use ov2tools because they can handle very large POI's.

In fact you don't even need to change the file extension, as the Navman POIEditor can use .asc files as well as .csv ones.

My preferred method is to use Oldie's POIConverter though, as there is less editing to do. All that is required is to add a semi-colon to the beginning of the line containing the header info.

The critical thing is to use Notepad and not Excel. Has anyone else ever mentioned this? Laughing

If you read this guide to loading Safety Cameras, the principle applies to all POI's.

It also mentions Notepad.
