I have just returned from 10 days in France. My 4month old Tomtom complete with £100 worth of western europe maps was complety useless. Having ordered and paid for the upgrades on 3rd Mayand still waiting delivery. I could not activate the old France maps when i arrived in FRANCE, having ordered the upgrades the old maps were turned off. What a con. I have the right having paid for the maps, to use them. Not only do i have to wait and wait and wait for the upgrades but in the meantime my expensive purchase is useless. It is not good enogh. What can i do. |

why did you not activate the maps before you left?
I have ver 5.10 installed with the previous version of MoWE and I have activated them all here when I installed them.
I can change to any of the installed maps without a problem? |

I had activated what i thought was all my maps. The UK was activated when i updated to 5.1. Had to get that form Tomtom too. Just took for granted that all were activated. So anyone out there of on there jollies soon, beware CHECK that ALL maps are activated before you go and if waiting for the everlasting upgraded maps get Tomtom to send you new (do i mean old) activation codes before you leave you PC behind and go off travelling. |

If you activated your other maps when you upgraded to 5.01 then you already have tha activation code. it is the same for all your maps just put it in! |

but did you not try some advance planning sat in the comfort of your own home before the holiday? If you had then you would have know whether the map was activated or not. |

I have tried in the past and it won't work this side of the water. I assumed it was because it used different satellites? |

The 'navigate to' won't work but if you use the advances planning A-B you can plan all sort of routes, and check everything is working OK |
