activation of EU maps in cp5

I have just purchased cp5. I have activated both uk and eu map data but I cannot acces any eu data for route planning. I have been through auto activation twice and manual once seems to work fine but when I go to plan a trip the country select screen shows only uk. I have downloaded an eu map area to cf card and can see it on map screen(ie the storage card map data is fine but no way to plan any routes. This is urgent as I am about to set off on eu trip. can anybody tell me what might be wrong.

I've just done the same. Problem started from EU map activation. I got it working by copying the whole map CD (600+mb) to the SD Card using a card reader.

Highly unsatisfactory, no response from ALK (phone and email).

I'm glad that I am not the only one having this problem. I asked Dave Burrows about this and he came up with the solution. Even though it only gives you the choice of UK you can still type the country key in e.g. fr for France or EI for Ireland. Next time you plan a route it will remember the last country you used.
