Compatability Ipaq 4150

I'm unclear from reading the details on the Navman store.
I have an Ipaq 4150 and a Globalsat BT338.
Can I just buy SmartST V3 with pan European maps and everything will work ? or does the SmartST software only work with the hardware supplied by navman ?
Sorry for such a basic question.

You should be able to buy the software only for the pocket pc and have it work just fine

Yes, PPC V3 will work with any receiver, as have all versions since 1.96.
