This may be a stupid question but.....

When I bought this gadget a couple of days ago it only had the GB map on the SD card.

I have now bought a new SD card and want to get hold of the map of Germany.

I have had a look at the main website but I cant find the link that will let me purchase it. Am I being stupid? Where is it??????

Plus services only get you the City maps.

The TomTom website is a nightmare to navigate.

To get the Germany map you need to buy an SD card for Germany. Or you can buy the CD set of Western Europe maps and copy the ones you want to a new blank SD card that you buy.

I have a 1GB SD card with 8 of the countries copied from CD onto it. The 128 MB SD card that came with the GO is not big enough to take any new maps.

Before you play with this have you got a full backup of the SD card on your PC, just in case of a crash/corruption etc.

You should also find out your activation code in case it's needed. The SD card in the GO comes pre-activated so you will only need it in case of a re-install. Go to www.ttcode.com to find the activation code. Then save it on the TomTom site in your own area.

Thanks for the info :D

What I dont understand is that I have already bought a new SD card from Currys and copied my backup files on it.

I expected to be asked for an activation code etc... but I never was. I can use the new SD card just the same as the original.

Is this normal?
