To m Tom and thw qstarz BT receiver

Can't get this to work with Tom Tom 3 - any suggestions anyone. I presume it uses nmea BT but have tried this with com 7 and 8 with no apparant success

have you paired the psa dn and set up the serial port profile, them with bt manager and what pda do you have?

Is this unit black and about the size of a matchbox with 2 lights on the front and a power button, with a removable battery at the bottom?

If so you can select nmea 0183v2 9600
and the bluetooth serial port (try both you want the incoming port)

if you've done all the above do you see a row of black dots moving left to right from sat to pda on the gps status screen? if you do and don't have any red or grey bars then you may just need to leave the unit with a view of the sky for a while - 1st time it can take half an hour to get a fix - then just seconds for subsequent starts.
