New maps should be arriving in a couple of days. I have a 512meg dane-elec SD card at the moment. Ideally I would like to keep using this card, the PGPS test said it was the best one to use on TTGO for speed. Is it just a case of dragging and dropping the new SD card contents onto the old card? Will the new maps overwrite the old ones? I presume I would have to enter an activation code?

Thanks

Basically all you need to do is to copy the Map folder, though copying the whole SD wont hurt. Make sure you take a backup of your current data prior to overwriting it though.

If you put the new SD into the GO there is a chance that it might self-activate. Not too sure as we havent had the opportunity to test that here.

By self activate I mean that the activation is included on the SD and will activate itself on the device that you insert it into without additional input on your part. Of course it may not do that.

Mine seemed to self activate. I must admit I copied it prior to installing it. i've not had a chance yet though to see if anything changed on install.
