US Navman vs UK Navman

I was wondering what are if any are the difference between US Navman 3420 model vs UK Navman 3420 other than the maps. The reason I am asking is that I am going on a driving holiday to the States so using the US model makes more sense as it has the maps I need and costs less - does anyone know are there any issues with the different voltage the States use - I know you can charge through the IPAQ and a car adapters - is it the same voltage on both sides of the Atlantic

Maps are the only difference now.



You can't have both UK and US versions installed at the same time. From a voltage perspective, in-car won't be an issue a standard iPAQ charger will suffice, if you want a desk charger, then you'll need to use a 3 pin to 2 pin converter for US power sockets, these can be purchased from most electrical outlets including Argos I believe.
