I'm using an XDAII with windows mobile 2003, My BT338 works fine with TomTom but I'm trying Pocket Earth and GPS Tuner and neither recognise the GPS.

TomTom's GPS tool works as SiRF Bluetooth and Bluetooth GPS for the Port. Both Pocket Earth and GPS Tuner only have port number and baud rate selection. Neither autodetect and neither pick up the BT338. Manual selecting the Bluetooth ports (in 4 out 5 - both activated) and trying all baud rates doesnt work either.

The only indication of anything going on is with Pocket Earth when opening port 5 I get an error message 'Overflow in GPS Sentence'

Any suggestion?

TomTom Bluetooth lockout is my guess.. The driver is crap unless you have the latest 3.07 and instal it fresh. Have a look on th efourm.. There is an excellent article by Lutz I think..

I have TT 3.07 Sad I'll check out the post though and see if that does anything.

Thanks for this. A very useful article but it does not resolve the issue here. My XDAii now can see the GPS but Pocket Earth GPS setup reports "overflow in GPS sentence." Any suggestions? Also GPS Tuner still wont pick up the GPS - I assume a similar problem.
