I am looking for a product that will enable notification of Cameras. The difference is I am looking for a slolution that works without having to plan a route on the PDA. I have an integrated Kenwood satnav but want to set-up my PDA/Smart phone for notification when I get near and not have to set-up 2 route plans, one on the car to navigate me and one on the PDA for camera detection.. Can anyone recomend anything?

TomTom can be set up the way you want. If you choose Turn Guidance Off it will just plot your progress on a moving map without you having to plan a route. The Safety camera database can be downloaded free from this site, so the cameras will show up on the map. If you also download Checkpoint (the preferred version 2 can also be downloaded free from this site) you can configure it to give audible warnings as you approach the cameras.
I'd wait a few weeks before buying TomTom as an updated version with newer maps is imminent.
