I'm running CP5 on my Mio168. After all of the well documented problems and Dave B's request for details of issues that users have, I want to run some simulations on my PPC in areas where I have encountered anomalies (which are numerous), before emailing the results to Dave B.
However, while I can plan a journey in an area in question, is it possible to run the journey as a simulation which gives full voice commands, as you would expect on a live trip ? I can't work out if this can be done.
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I don't recall if CoPilot has this feature, but you can always use GPSGate to replay NMEA logs, and then point the navigation programs at the GPSGate COM port. _________________ Lutz

While I may be a fairly competent user, and by no means a technophobe, I'm afraid I haven't got a clue what Lbendlin is talking about
While it may appear that I cannot achieve what I want directly on PPC by creating a route and running it as a simulation (please correct me if I'm wrong), can I utilise the GPS track for a similar purpose.
However, I do not want to sit through 200 miles of uneventful motorway waiting for something to happen. Can I just play part of the track, or crop a section from it to be played back ??
Thanks for your help

What you can do is under the GPS option is to open an existing track. If you knew you took a journey from home to work on a specific day and wanted to re-plot the route and demo it, you can OPEN GPS TRACK, then PLAYBACK GPS TRACK, set the desired speed, and then create the journey as you would by starting a new journey. It then reads this rather than the GPS COM port and allows you to effectively re-drive a route. |
