"PLUS" Map

TT is talking about Plus Maps.
What are they ?

The 'Plus' maps incorporate the Major Roads of Europe into the detailed country map allowing seamless routing across Western Europe.

I guess that has to do with traveling across different countries.

Previously, If I'm correct, we had to put "stop points" on the highways at the country border, to travel from 1 country to an other country.

How is it working now, since we can anyway activate 1 Map at the time only ????

So let's say I want to travel from Brussels to Paris.

I have my Benelux Map activated ... but I can't anyway plan my itinerary from Brussels to Paris directly, is it ??

i believe that your maps of Benelux include Major Roads of Europe i.e 1 map so you can plan without changing map the route you mentioned.

So it would mean that every detaild individual country map is containing the individual detaild country map + Major roads of Europe ???

That would be GREAT !!

Could someone confirm this, please ?

thats how i understand it. If you have Maps of Western Europe, you choose which country you want the Major Roads of Europe to be installed with.
For me I have France, Benelux, Iberia and Italy and Major Roads of Europe on a 1gb card. I will install the major roads of Europe as part of the France map.

So let me see if I understand this?

I have V5

I have MoWE

I Have ordered MoWE upgrade

When I travel to Bavaria this summer I select Major Roads of Europe on my 1GB SD card.

When I get to Bavaria I switch to the South map of MoWE

Am I correct?

All of the Plus maps have your local region in full street level detail. In addition to this there is the major roads of the rest of Western Europe integrated into the same map.

If you have the Maps of Western Europe then you have the choice of instaling Plus maps or just region maps.

With the Plus maps you have the option of plannning a route say from the UK to southern Italy. There would be no requirement to switch maps at any point of the route. You will only be able to select a destination on a major road though.

Alternatively with MoWE you could load the Italy Plus map and be able to navigate from a major road near your departure point, to a street address in southern Italy.

But just to be 100% clear on that subjetc :

Whan you say a PLUS map (for example for Benelux) has the full stree level detail, plus the other low level maps of the other countries ...

Has the BENELUX PLUS map as much details as the standard Benelux Map ? Do they have exactly the same level of details ?

Do you know if the Maps of Wester Europe Package is coming with full CD's, or with Upgrade CD's so that you need the original package, plus the Upgrade Package ?

If the BENELUX Map is now coming with the Major roads of other countries, I would think it is a brandly new map, and they were not able to use the old BENELUX Map (To be loaded with the original Package), and upgrade that Map with latest detsails plus Major roads, no ?

I just gor a confirmation from TOMTOM that the Upgrade for the "Maps Of Western Europe" is coming with full CD's ...

So does that mean I can re-sell my old Package ?
Or would I still need it to install the upgrade ?

OK, Understand this.

So the upgrade will contain all the detailed maps of Western europe, with each Map containing the "Major roads of Europe" of the other countries.
