The image needs to be hosted somewhere then you specify the path to the image between the img tags:
Code:

[img]http://www.yourdomain.com/yourimage.gif[/img]

If its your own image on your own website you will know it, if not right click the image and select 'properties' to see the image address (URL)

Thanks for the help but I don't have an image on a website but I have found one on ebay that is the same as the one I have.

This is the one I own.

unsure who makes it, you never know windows may pick it up as a generic GPS unit and work right away.

you'd need a Compact Flash (CF) card reader for it to plug into the laptop. personally, i'd recommend one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42191&item=6764662585&rd=1 - the GPS would slide into a PCMCIA (aka CardBus or PC Card slot) on your laptop, as laptops don't generally come with built-in CF slots.
