This may sound like a stupid question but here goes

I already have Tomtom BT for use in car, but Im thinking of getting a CF card ariel so I can use my GPS while walking and not ahve to carry the BT ariel

the question is

Is it feasable ? any suggestions/ideas appreciated

will the 2 ariels cause any problems switching between them ?

Which is the best CF ariel to go for ?

I am using the HX4700, with Tomtom installed on an SD card

It's a receiver not an ariel, Ariels are usually dumb bits of metal, whereas a GPS receiver does a great deal more than that, although it may have an aeriel attached to it.

Your CF should not interfere with the bluetooth. To swtich between them you will need to go into your GPS settings and choose the other device. This can be done quite easily in the TomTom GPS settings.

Hope this helps

A BlueTooth GPS receiver is perfectly capable of working on its own internal battery.
In fact I would suggest BT to anyone who intends to use their PDA based system for walking. Simply place your BT receiver in your pocket!

As the BT receiver has its own power, the PDA battery will last longer.
Why waste money on another receiver??
