I checked this out today and noticed that the map data is shown as "Map data 2005 Navteq,Tele atlas" Does this mean that Tomtom v5 maps will be based on the same data? If so it will be a good way of cheching how up to date the v5 maps will be ! I really hope they are not the ones to be used as I have noticed that there has not been any correction to "no right turns" I informed Tele Atlas about last August ,also the new Newport Bye pass is not shown despite being completed in autumn 2004!

Sorry but you wont be able to use Google to check if the TomTom or other companies maps are up to date.

The A130 between the A129 and the A127 has been dualed and opened for a really long time now. Navteq in the form of CoPilot 5 where the first to issue PDA maps showing it mid 2004 well over a year after it was opened. 2 years after it was opened and it will feature in the New TomTom version 5 maps, but not in the MioMap software that comes with the recently released Mitac 268.

Looking at this on the Google maps and it is missing. So the currency of the data used in these maps is still quite old.
