Can I ask those who have already purchased mobile 5 from TomTom whether they had to pay anything extra in terms of courier charges, etc.

I'm about to take the plunge and buy the Mobile 5 package as my first GPS, but wondered whether I have to pay any extra costs over the advertised price & postage on the TomTom website?

Only other thing I've ordered from overseas was something from the US and had to pay the import duty. I'm guessing I don't for something in the EU?

Sorry if this sounds daft - I just want to know what price I'm paying at the end of it all!


Also do they debit your credit card at the point you order it, or the point it's despatched? I'm not overly taken with £200+ disappearing and having nothing to show for it Sad

Not sure about the P+P ,but for the upgrade it was 9.95 euro

Im afraid Tomtom seem to have a policy of "take your money and ship later"which I and other users on this forum have found from experience durring the upgrade fiasco.
On a more positive note,when you do get Tomtom mobile 5 you will find the product is excellent-just a shame Tomtom's customer support dont match up to it. Wink

I've actually decided to order it from globalpositioningsystems.co.uk. £200 all in and no debiting cards until it turns up.

Now the waiting begins!
