Hi

been a long term user of ttn on ipaqs and looking at installing it on my wifes tungsten e - anyone running 4.40 on an E? Any problems.

I'm about to buy the new viamichelin pack with mouse gps to get round the lack of serial port on the tungsten e - but would ideally like to run tomtom on her machine as well.

any experiences appreciated.

Ian

well I took the plunge and installed and activated tomtom on the the tungsten e.

4.40 would load ok but would give a memorymgr error on every route over 3 miles - this was with most of the programs on the palm moved to the card so I had 20mb free.

I then installed the palm update 4.42 - which it expressly states is for treo and t5 only and its working really well (subject to attaching the gps unit when it comes - first one was damaged) - I'm sticking to 16mb map sections to speed things up and to reduce memory problems but running routes last night for an hour didn't give any error's.

I'll give some more feedback when its running in the car.

Ian

Hi there,

I plan on putting TTN on my tungsten E as soon as I get a gps. How is working for out for you? Have you encountered any problems thus far?

i had lots of memory errors - so I've given up, mapsonic 2.5 not great but new v3 - released on Friday is brilliant - so will run this on palm and tt on ipaq.

until tt support e - which may happen with V5 but is unlikely i would stick with viamichelin.

if you buy the kirrio kit you get v2.5 and the v3.1 update is free.

The v3 is a quantum leap for viamichen - brings it right upto date.
