Or is it easy and convenient to put it into the glove compartment or take it with you? What do you do? |

Usually I unhook the GO from the mount and put it in the glovebox, but leave the mount connected to the windscreen. |

I always take the TTgo with me,as I leave the mount on the car windscreen this may result in the casual thief having a looksee. |

MIne either goes in my pocket if I'm wearing a coat or in the pocket behind the passenger seat. I'd never leave it on show, but then I'm in Manchester, it wouldn't last five mins on show. :D |

I've never left mine on display - it's so convenient to pop it off the mount and conceal it (I drive a Jag, so there are a good few places to stash something as small as the Go).
My stepmother has (or rather, had) a Garmin, which my dad installed more permanently in her Focus. Whilst it was parked in a Liverpool street, with the driver watching from inside a shop, a car drew up alongside, the window was smashed, the Garmin ripped out and the thieves drove off. Thus even if my car does have damn good security, I'm not risking someone having a go at the window to try and grab the Go.
I'm wondering whether the mount itself is a bit of a signpost, though... |

I never leave either the TTGo or the mount on display. Any thief will look and see the mount and perhaps think that the GPS may be in the car somewhere so he breaks the window to have a quick look.
No point in advertising that you have a GPS in the first place, as it will cost you £50 on your insurance to get the window replaced.

I thought about the mount removal too, but I have the external antena wired up so it woul be awkward each time to remove it.
I remove the TTG from view always and if leaving the car overnight bring the TTG into the house. |

Never leave it in the car, if i'm leaving my car in a car park I take off the Window Mount.
Therefore no thieves think it is in the glovebox. |
