help wanted 12v/24 volts

can anyone tell me if the charger units for pdas plug into a 7.5 tonn lorry ciggi lighter or will it blow it as the lorrys are 24 volts.

im unsure to this and dont want to blow it if you cant do it is there an adapter you can buy and where from.

Some but not all are 12/24v compatible. The only way to know for certain is to read the voltage lable on the cigarette lighter plug itself. If it does not specifically mention it is 12/24v then you would be advised to assume it is 12v only.

You can get 24v - 12v droppers from most truck accessory outlets for under £20.
