I have tried to download the latest database for 3 days, but it seems it has not been updated yet.

Ok, I've sent an updated overlay back to PGPSW, but there's no guarantee anyone is going to see it for a while, being Christmas Eve.

This update has the previously discussed feature whereby the Version number (4.124.1) is displayed if you mouse-over the .msi file, or you can right-click and select Properties of either the .msi or the .zip file and it will be displayed on the Summary tab.

(oh, and Merry Christmas to all) :D

Walter,
Thank you for your work.
The only database I use now on the iQue 3600 is the 'overlay'!

I post below two screenshots of my view on the iQue 3600.

Is there any way you can make the version number show?

Is there any way you can change the icon for a MOBILE camera from a green icon with a G in the middle? Question

It is confusing while driving to see G [green] when in fact it is M [mobile]

Remember there is only a visual warning with an 'overlay'.

Thank you.

Not by changing those fields on that screen, no. The first part ("PocketGPS Uk") is the map family, and if I put the version number in there it would change with every release and mean a new map family would be installed. This would have a major impact on how installation works at the moment, and that's why the version is not supposed to be part of this field. The second part ("UK/Europe") is the area covered by the map, and again, Garmin did not intend the version to be in this field.

There is a correct field to put the version in, and I do so with each new release. Its possible to see it both on my eMap and my 2610, although not in the equivalent of the screen you posted above. I can't remember the keystrokes to get that info, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't possible to get it on the iQue. Have you tried asking in a Garmin forum, or maybe the Usenet group sci.geo.satellite-nav?

If I changed it, it would change for everyone, which might upset other users who are used to how the colours are right now. Green seems to stand out quite well on your screenshots, and works well on the majority of GPS devices if feedback is anything to go by. If its just the 'G' you're worried about, I can't change that as its part of Garmin's icon ('G' stands for green and the icon is made like that so it can be identified even on a black&white screen).

Thank you for your reply.

I searched the iQue for the version number for the 'overlay', and even using File Z [screenshots 1 + 2], the only results I came up with are shown below

The nearest detail to show version number is in the second screenshot - 'created date' - I'm almost sure that is when I installed the overlay, as it says on the website that you updated earlier.

In MapSource there is no problem, the dropdown box states
SafetyCameras UK/EURO IQ 5.023

It took me some time to realize that the new pMOBILE database is not part of the overlay and therefore 1188 'pending' mobiles are missing!

This is not complaining, as I do appreciate your work, but it is constructive point making! :D :D
Thanks Walter
