Hi,

Iv created a new POI file (ov2 file extension) using an exe from a toolkit downloaded from the TomTom website for their GPS Navigation system.

This file was created from a .ASC file with the relevant names and latitudes and longtitudes in. The .OV2 file and .BMP file were created fine but for some reason , after copying the files to the correct directory they dont appear when viewing the relevant areas on the map.

The GPS system can deffinatly see the .BMP and .OV2 as it lists them in the view option section and they are selected.

Any ideas why?? Thanks

Are you sure you have the Lat, Long round the right way ?   Otherwise they'll be way off the map somewhere in Outer Mongolia.

This caught me out the first time. This is because on the TomTom web site the example used is 53.5 , 4 , "Truckers Restaurant La Bamba" which actually looks like a UK Lat Long figure, but unfortunately it's in the Indian Ocean ?????? and is a Long Lat figure (illogical) but the way it needs to be so: Longitude, Latitude,"Name"
