Ordered a BT gps for next day delivery.
Post office messed it up and lost it for a day so it arrived late. I emailed globalpositioningsytemes about it and they refunded the delivery charge the same day.
Excellent service and would use them again - although I won't bother with special delivery as the PO appears to be bloody hopeless.

Well I dont really want to give bad press to Global Positioning Systems as their prices are quite good but I am a little frustrated when their website says:
Quote: |
Customer Services
We are able to deal with your enquiries most effectively by email. This allows us to document all correspondence and should be your first point of contact.
|
...but when you send an e-mail it is effectively ignored.
I have ordered twice from GPS, the first order had a problem which to their credit was resolved quickly over the telephone. Also their live chat system is very good too. Unfortunately the e-mail side of things lets them down.
I sent an e-mail yesterday. All I wished to do was chase up my second order, which arrived today albeit a day late. I am still waiting for a reply.
I dont think it will put me off buying from them again as this is only a minor irritation but never the less, ALL e-mails should be acknowledged just out of common courtesy especially when this is encouraged as a first point of contact.[/quote] |

Well.... I have just received an e-mail... 5 minutes after posting the above.
Unfortunately there is no facility to edit posts so I am posting here to clarify that I have now received an answer to my mail.
A member of GPS customer services states the following:
Apologies regarding the communication, we try to run an automated system wherever possible to speed things up.
As I said this will not deter me ffom future orders.
Regards

well I had to return my haicom cf gps unit to GPSL - got a returns no. Wednesday and returned the faulty item got the replacement today (Saturday), no arguments, no questions no problems.
I have recommended them in the past but I really beleive that until you have a problem you cannot for sure know how good, bad or ugly a company is. I now know for sure that when I upgrade or replace any gps items in the future gpsl will be the first and probably only retailer I will look at.
Well done guys! |

As a purchaser with no penuniary interest in GPSL I have no hesitation in recommending them to friends, colleagues or family (or all 3)
Me? I just want good kit :-) |

Hi all
Brought both my 2210 & Navmman 4100 from them and cannot fault the service, they know about what they are selling and offer good sound advice.
would highly recomend.

Received an email from globalpositioningsystems that the new Garmin StreetPilot 2620 was now instock Wednesday morning (been waiting for some time). Ordered Wednesday lunchtime. Received Thursday 8.15am. Superb timing because we were heading off to see relatives in Scotland on Good Friday. Struggled with the manual before I left and come Saturday I had some questions. Phoned technical support Easter Saturday. Straight through to Duncan who sorted immediately. Travelled back home last night without a hitch. Fantastic piece of kit. Fantastic service. One very happy bunny! Keep up the good work!! |

What are this company like for resolving faulty products?
Thru the forums, im led to believe that occasionally the Fortuna Clip on has a faulty battery problem, if i ordered from this company and 1 month down the line, my device failed, would I get a replacement or would I have to contact the manufacturer?
Im debating whether to go with pdamods.com or globalpositioning.co.uk
Globalpositioning are in the lead for price. Any comments as to faulty unit returns? |

Hi x1-immy,
Thanks for your posting. Please be assurred, we would not ask you to contact the manufacturer direct. In the unlikely event that any item from us turned out to be faulty within its warrantly period we will gladly swap it out for you with new product from stock.
Look forward to being of service.
