Hi,

I have an ipaq 3715 and plan to buy a GPS reciever. This pda has a SD slot and an advertised 152 mb. Will I be able to use a SD gps reciever like the ones sold by syson for the CF user's. And will the availble 152 mb be enough to load tomtom 3.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanx

If you use a SDIO GPS receiver you will lose the use of the SD slot. You will need the SD slot for storing your maps. The whole of GB takes up approximately 101MB which theoretically will fit in the available RAM on the 3715 but should you decide to install other maps or applications you may find that space becomes limited.

Alternatively you could consider a Bluetooth GPS receiver which will give you freedom to place it anywhere in the vehicle for optimum reception, especially useful if you have a vehicle with a coated windscreen, or alternatively a wired mouse GPS receiver if you want ease of use and only plan to use the system in-car.
