Connecting Garmin Ventura to ipaq 3950

Hey Guys,
Have my cables connected between my Ventura and ipaq 3950. Started up Microsoft Streets & Trips but My ipaq can't see my gps. The message I get on my ipaq is the communication ( Com ) port is available but no signal is being received. Can any one help?
What should the GPS interface be set to? I would guess NMEA in/NMEA out and the ipaq set to Com 1.

NMEA/com 1 are correct.

Many Ipaq owners have problem because of a keyboard installed.
If you can see the com port then this is not it. Or is it?

If you have keyboard instlled, disable or uninstall it will solve it.

Another possible problem is S&T.
