Small point, but some of the features listed as "no" for Navigator, actually are present:
Map matching (standard now, not an option as before)
Correct GPS Position (if you mean re-calibrate)
Heads up (standard in Navigator view, but not available in map view)
And one you say is available, but I can't find: Waypoints, unless you mean favourites, but you list that separately?

Thanks Mark for spotting those errors, I've amended the article and posted it to the website. |

Another minor one - Reverse route is listed as 'No' for TomTom, but you can do it if you plan your route via the map A-B option on the 'Type' tab. It's fiddly I admit, but it's there. _________________ It seems I don't know anything after all |

Why are the TTFF times listed for each software package? Surely these are only dependent on the hardware; the software has nothing to do with aquiring the fix - it simply waits for the NMEA signal to start streaming from the hardware?

|
|
As I already did mention, a comparative review is a snapshot in time.
This review is a good example. May I suggest to keep the comparisons updated. To compare things NOW, it is imperative to be able to compare relative evaluations which are up to date.
This can be done by using databases. Some "fields" in a database could be allocated to give "points" (e.g 8/10) for each important feature. Those evaluations should be readjusted in time, according the relative values compared to other products. |
