|
|
Hi all,
I've been desperately trying to connect my polstar gps PBT111 to my ipaq 4700.
I did a discovery from the ipaq and it identified the polstar device and created it as a bluetooth SPP slave.
I can connect to the slave and the signal is good - the blue light on the device stays solid and i can get a signal on the polstar device showing it can see the satellites.
When i use the pda tester software from polstar and do a scan it cannot find the device on any port - on the normal bluetooth port COM5 (incoming) and COM8 (outgoing). Com5 says 'None', Com8 says 'Fail'.
When i use the TT3 GPS screen there are no dots moving between the deive even though I have set it up on TT Wireless - Port COM5 Bluetooth.
Any help greatly appreciated!

There's your problem. TomTom needs to be set to COM8, and then the TomTom GPS driver is blocking the other programs from accessing the BT GPS. Have a read of our article describing the BlueTooth setup for TomTom _________________ Lutz

also, i've just dropped down the list box on the TT3 GPS screen for the port selection and COM8 is not shown at all in that list - it just shows IR port (twice), COM4, Serial cable on com1; serial on usb and bluetooth serial port on COM5!
Any other ideas??
Have deffo checked the bluetooth config and COM8 is outgoing and COM5 is incoming..
Thanks again all

I have the same problem! I am able to connect to the polstar gps but I receive no data.
The postar test program says it's waiting for nmea when i select com5.
This worked perfectly with my ipaq 5550 and still works perfectly with my laptop.
Is there an issue with the wm2003se bluetooth software?
Thanks,
Dave |
