Will a Geko 301 talk to a PDA with usb connect?

I own a Geko 301 and an I-mate Jam PDA(same an XDA compact). The Jam has a mini 5 pin USB port and runs PPC 2003 SE.

I use the GPS on multi day mountain bike/ mountaineering trips and would love to connect the two to tweak routes in Memory Map in the wilds and download them back to the Geko. I also have Tomtom 3 and would love to use the Geko to provide GPS.

Is this a non starter connection, and If it has a chance what interconnects would I need?

for the vast majority of Pocket PCs this is a non-starter. You need a USB host interface on the PDA. - not very common.

XDA mini does not have a serial port.
The only way you can connect a GPS is via BT (I suppose XDA Mini has BT)

You can get a BT adapter for Geko:

You cannot download/upload tracks though, you can use it only for navigation.
