Hello, I use at present TT3 on a dell pda and have the full maps of europe on CD rom, I want to change to TomTom GO for reasons of convenience and want to know if the TT3 maps will work and load with TT GO ?

I can find no info on the Tom Tom site referring to this!

best regards David

This makes only limited sense. The maps that came with the GO are newer and potentially more up to date than the TTN3 maps.

Well it makes sense to me, I only bought the full european maps last year around may, I don't want to spend another wad of money on a duplicate set of maps which will be out of date in 6 months anyway!
The amount of times I use the euro maps is limited compared to the UK map, and of course GO will come with a new issue of the UK map.

Is it making more sense now? Wink

Best regards David

You'd need to find someone who has tried this and can confirm that the Product Code works.

Just because the map file formats are compatible doesn't necessarily mean that the Product Code will activate the maps. I have Navigator 3 Great Britain and Navigator 2004 HP Edition Europe. My 2004 Product Code will not activate any maps in Navigator 3, though I can use the Great Britain map from Navigator 2004 in Navigator 3 because Navigator 3 is already activated for Great Britain using my Navigator 3 Product Code.

You're in the reverse case - wanting to use a Navigator 3 Product Code on a "common platform" product. That, too, may not work.

Before you ask, I'm not in a position to offer a swap even though I suspect my Navigator 2004 Product Code would work on Go.

Thats exactly why I am asking in here... Wink

The thought never crossed my mind.........but it seems the safest route (pardon the pun) might be to sell the complete package Axim/TT3/Europe Maps all as one. Seems like a trip to ebay is on the cards! :D

I'm almost certain the TT Nav 3 maps WILL NOT work with the TTGO. Its a pain, and unfortunate, but Ive read in several places that it won't, I just wish I could find where I read it, so you could see, Ill keep looking! 8O

I'm in a similar position. Got the TT3 Euro maps, and have now switched to TTG.

When I get time I'll buy an extra SD card and try it out and see what happens… but I have read somewhere that they aren't compatible. Confused
