Hi cc130,

We don’t mind a little constructive cross-over in the forums. Just because somebody hasn’t got a particular product doesn’t mean to say that they can’t offer practical generic advice.

Some of the TomTom Navigator (PPC) users have been using TomTom products for years and thus have a wealth of experience. This is a lot of similarities between TomTom Navigator (PPC) and TomTom Go in day-to-day use. Don’t forget that the TomTom Go is still less than a year old.

In the same way, some people refer to our camera database as the “TomTom Go camera database”. The PGPSW database is over three years old, and it is for everybody. The more people that use it, gives us more eyes on the road who can report changes, which is best for everybody. Thumbs Up

Regards,

There is very little TomTom Navigator 3 issues entered in this forum. Which I think is a good balance.

Both good points.

I think the balance is about right. I for one am happy with it. If humans are involved it will never be perfect!!

Bu**er, wish I hadn,t started this thread now!
Looks like its been hijacked by ttgone and N2go!
Anyone like to comment on what was the main point of my original post, the bit about the TomTomGo forum for TomTom Go'ers ONLY!!
Oh and I've gone off smilies completely !!

Hijacked?? I just thought Id defend common sense when you were being pedantic.

Your argument is that all the rules should be vigerously enforced no matter what, and anyone deviating from the strict topic mentioned in the first post of every thread is "hijacking" it. IMHO This is anal and loses any sense of community that a forum can and has achieved.

Also why call Expansys users "pondlife"? I think theyre a nice bunch, and most of them post here too, so why be so insulting?

MikeB/Privateer/Oldboy
thanks for your inputs, all points duly noted and accepted. As a TTG newbie I came to this site to seek guidance and benefit from experienced TTG users. I have no knowledge of other TT kit. As such when anything other than TTG is mentioned, I must admit to a slight confusion.

OK, and now for tomtomgonads !! Do you want the 5 minute argument or the 15 minute one ??
Unfortunately, on every Web Forum, one is likely to come across the likes of some argumentative to**er or other, whose main aim in life is to seek confrontation on any subject, 'cos thats what they get off on !! In general, they are the ones who should have worked harder at school and need to get out more !!
TTGnds, if you read back, I did not introduce the Expansys discussion on this thread, I merely added my opinion as to its having " a more than its fair share of puerile pondlife", I did not accuse all posters on that site, but I think YOU may have proved my point.
I think, probably, the majority of serious posters, could do without the inane banter you seem to thrive on. There must be lots of other forums which service such needs, please go there !!

Moderators, please can you now pull this thread and, maybe, TTgnds will return to whichever swampy site spawned him/her/it.

Byeee
