Yes i have the 300 to and i to am without mains charger(damn you Tomtom)

I just plug it in when i need it as the cable still fits into the 300 even on the mount i have.

Each to their own i suppose

Didn't want to have the ciggy light on all the time to stop unnecessary battery drain. Only when i needed it.

Couldn't really tell you at the moment, but i'll have a ganders tomorrow and get back to you.

I've just come back from a long drive (only had the 300 recently and was out for a long test run)and i had it plugged in all the way no problems. I've got it set up on a Focus near to the centre vents but have the screen slighty rotated to me so as to gain top view. The base is movable but with the securing screws underneath its at the moment locked into my position, i'll just have to see how long if at all till they work loose but i may even put some loctite on now i have it set up just as a safety net so to speak.

Were you also going for the 215038? or the one that spikebmth mentioned?

Just a side issue if someone finds out where to get an AC power adaptor from can they drop me the details price and code etc....much obliged.

I got an AC Adapter from Argos thanks to Mark-Yorkshire for his post.

(Masterplug 2500mA multi-voltage adaptor which converts mains to either 3,4.5,5,6,6.5 or 7v. The TTG300 needs 5v and 2000mA . Cost £14.99 Argos catalog no. 982/8915 )

Yes I ordered the set from GPS4less this afternoon the TT mount &proclip for Renault Megane (not in stock).
Just wondering how the TTG is powered whilst in the mount.

Thanx very much, should be a much improved method to hold the TT in place. Always worried what would happen to it in a major shunt with the sticky windscreen mount.

The mounts (....38) came yesterday, 10 mins later fitted. There is a slight vibration but nothing untoward.

I have got a GO Classic and ordered the 215027 mount without realising the problem that you cannot connect the power to the base as the locking thumbscrew is now in the way.

A cheap and easy fix - you need to buy a replacement bolt - 5mm diameter X 20mm long this will replace the thumbscrew bolt and as the head is much smaller there is now enough space to plug the power into the mount.

Mine just needed 30 seconds with a file as well as replacing the bolt - easy peasy and works well. The bonus is that as I use the external antenna on mine, I have a complete suction mount for my wifes car as well.
