|
|
I am thinking about buying a spare battery for my Ipaq 2210. I have been searching Ebay and notice that there are many people selling "generic" replacements for a fraction of the cost of a "genuine" HP battery - the cheapest seems to be about £30 to £40 in the UK, whereas generic ones on Ebay are much much cheaper.
I am concerned that maybe these generic batteries being sold on Ebay would be a false economy due to being of inferior quality and performance - or am I wrong about this? Or should perhaps fork out for a kosher HP battery?
Is it a case of "you get what you pay for"?
Grateful for any advice/feedback on this.
Cheers

bbb echoing the above request - if anyone has insights and/or experience it will be gratefully received
(BTW - some camara brands have had poor experience in using grey or non-proprietery branded equivalents. Possibly giving rise to an urban myth that the grey market is flooded with poor spec stuff rejected by big brands as poor quality) |

I have a 3600 battery bought from ebay for £24.99. HP want over a hundred. Battery technology is not complicated. Generic units can work as well or better than originals. You may also find they are made in the same sweat shop as the originals. Price is al about packaging.
Been using unbranded in my mobile for years. |

I presume by 3600 you mean 3600mAh
As the std battery is only 900mAh, £25 is a very good price and has got to be worth it. _________________ Ian.
