Garmin cfQue 1620 vs other cf products. Anybody done one?

Hi,

I have a Toshiba 805 PDA, Windows 2003, and Garmin's Software, just lost the cfQue 1620, anybody know if other receivers are better and WORK with Garmin's software?

I have a E800 and cfGPS 1620. I do not think any other cf card would work with the Garmin software as it appears to use Garmin format and be inextricably linked to the cf unit. I did have it working once with a GPS 18 once via the USB port and a serial/usb converter but could not duplicate that event. If you have bluetooth and like the Garmin software, you might consider the GPS 10. I have heard the receiver is better and am considering one. It will not communicate with the existing software interface of the 1620 so you will need to buy the software package that comes with it. My understanding is that the GPS 10 supports both Garmin and NMEA format so it will work with your existing maps and any other standard mapping program. It should talk to any Bluetooth enabled device
