Navman iCN610 HELP Please??

Hi,

Dont know if this was the right place, but I've bought a Navman iCN610 from Halfords £399, but when I've got it into my car and switched on, I've done what the web site and manual says (wait for 15 minutes for the GPS to get a position of where I am), but it never connects. My car doesnt have the magnectic windshield and the GPS has a clear view of the sky so I cant understand why this isnt connecting.

Could someone please help as I'm looking at this as a waste of money.
