Hi, could anyone tell me please how I transfer all my data (maps, POIs etc) from my present iCN510 memory card to a new and larger card that I have just purchased. I do have a card reader but I don't seem to be having much luck, any info appreciated.

Thanks

Rich

Do you have Custom PIs? If not, you mght be able to just put the new card into your iCN and use Navman Desktop to transfer the maps, etc. to your iCN.

Unfortunately yes I do, in fact loads of them maybe this is the problem. Is there any other way? I have tried copying from the old card to a file on the PC (via the reader) which was OK but when I try to put them back the PC locks up saying unable to read to Drive x (the reader).

How are Custom POIs stored on the iCN? Could you transfer the maps in the usual way and then use File Explorer to copy the Directory holding your Custom POIs directly to the SD card when it is in the iCNs slot?

OK Tim, I will give that a go. I think I was probably trying to cut corners by just copying from one card to the other, what I will do is now as you say copy the maps from the CD that came with the unit as if starting from new and then sort out, again as you suggest, getting the POIs over after. The POIs incidentally are located in the 'my POI' section on the card.
Thanks again
