When I was using Tom Tom 3 on a PDA it had the facility to identify London Congestion Charge Zone. Now that I Have upgraded to Tom Tom Go (much quicker and acurate) it will not identify the London Congestion Charge Zone. Can anyone help me out with a Overlay to add to Tom Tom Go please or a POI maybe???

Hi Jeystone,

Welcome to the forum. Thumbs Up

Unlike TTNav3 for the PPC, TomTom GO doesn’t have an option to avoid the London CC zone.

Have a look at this London Congestion Charge POI, which was created by Bo Peep.

This POI lists the main roads, not every road that enters the London CC zone. You can use TTGO’s own alert to warn you when you’re approaching the London CC zone.

Can you please change your avatar so that is a maximum of 64 x 64 pixels? Unfortunately a few people are using large avatars, which slow down the site – especially if you’re still using dial-up. Thumbs Up

Regards,

I'm a bit confused about this issue. I've been told that my TTG300 will avoid the congestion charge zone if I set it to avoid toll roads?

I've only used it once in London, and it was a nightmare as my destination was the other side o the zone, and all the routes tried to take me through it!

I've now got the relevant POI database, but I don't want to just be warned about the charge zone - I want to navigate around it!

regards,

Kev

If you read the date of the posting, it was way back in Jan 05. The 300 didn't exist then.

Well, only as a twinkle in TT's eye.

Way back in Jan 05? I guess this is one of the symptoms of getting older - anything under 5 years seems comparitively recent ;-)

Having just re-read that, it sounds like I'm having a go at you; my apologies!
Embarassed It's me I was referring to - I'm probably older than you are! :D

No offence taken. :D

I wouldn't take bets on the age thing.
