Has anyone any experience of downloading tracks/routes from Memory Map into the new quest. I wish to purchase a quest but nobody can confirm the above will work! |

Looking quickly through the manual (Rev.B August 2004 available on the Garmin website) there does not appear to be any way of importing waypoints or routes. If this is the case then you will not be able to transfer information from Memory-Map. _________________ Various TomToms, Garmin eTrex Legend, GPSMAP 60CSx, Oregon 550t, Forerunner 405 |

I read the manual myself (usa?) and contacted Garmin. They say maps can be uploaded but only in garmin mode not NMEA mode as per the likes of the Etrex range. They wouldn't confirm that it would work however! Neither will Memory-map. |

I agree that Garmin maps can be uploaded, but you wanted to transfer waypoints and routes from Memory-Map and this is a different requirement.
I could not see a reference in the manual for uploading waypoints and routes from MapSource. If it is possible then transferring data from Memory-Map to MapSource is quite straightforward. _________________ Various TomToms, Garmin eTrex Legend, GPSMAP 60CSx, Oregon 550t, Forerunner 405 |
