Tomtom going mad...

I was driving south on the A1 tonight, and at every slip road tomtom kept telling me to take the exit, but the map was telling me to continue on. (the map was correct)

is this normal?

TomTom has done that to me once on the M60/M602 junction, never noticed it do it since. It does tell me to keep right every time I join the A1M from M62, when in fact you need to keep left, so i'm assuming that onem to be a map error.
