Navman 4410 plus Dell x50v

I'm new to the forum, but what I've read so far has been very valuable!

I've just received my Navman GPS 4410, to go with my Dell x50v. I've had a Garmin III+ in the past, but wanted the flexability of a PDA system. A couple of things I should point out first, I only bought the Navman as it was cheap, and to get me going.

I'm reasonably impressed with it so far but a couple of things are frustrating me;

I can't see a route unless I use the route demonstrator, which is far too slow to be any use.

I can't save a route.

When I'm on my bike, I don't want to navigate to a particular destination, I just want to know where I am. The Navman will do this, but doesn't give me other info such as speed etc at the same time. I'd like to see the angle view here but can't.

I can't change the orientation so my direction of travel is always up.

I'm not keen on the way the position arrow moves across the screen, instead of staying central.

So after these minor comlaints, can anyone suggest a better solution for the future, or an alternative software package?
