Love the PIN 300 but I'm tearing my hair out trying to instal Fugawi mapping. First problem is that Fugawi tells me to connect via comms port however there's not one since I only link via activesync:

• Be sure that your GPS receiver is set up to transmit NMEA 0183 data via a serial cable. How?
• Set your GPS to use WGS 84 datum. Where do I find these settings?
• Choose Settings|GPS, and select Change Port. Indicate the port that is connected to your GPS receiver. The default Baud for NMEA is 4800. The other parameters are N parity, 8 Data Bits, 1 Stop bit and No Flow Control.
• In Settings|GPS go to the Model tab and select the type of GPS receiver that you will be connecting to Fugawi.

I'd really really appreciate any guidance.

The first two are covered for you anyway - they're the defaults. Changing away from NMEA mode is relatively hard with most software, and changing away from WGS84 and making it stick even harder!

The GPS hardware is, I believe, on SP2: - can you find a way of selecting that in Fugawi?

Many thanks David, that's really helpful. I did get Fugawi set up which is fantastic.

Not sure if the NMEA mode/WGS84 is correct however things seem to be in the right place so I'm not too bothered for now!

I did have to call Fugawi who were really good again and they advised me to hold the Fugawi maps on the hard drive and that stopped things hanging.

Cheers

Paul
