Crying or Very sad
I had my Pocket PC GPS only a week before going on holiday so I unplugged it and hid it away in a cupboard for safety.
After a fortnight, I plugged it in and it wasn't recognised and all the data (admittedly just testing stuff out) had been lost from memories.
Is this normal? Does this mean that everything gets lost if the battery gets too low?
SURELY NOT?
Carol

Yes, that is the situation. Suggest you make a backup so that if it happens again you can just calibrate the screen and reload your setup.

Pocket PCs require battery power to maintain their main memory - otherwise, when the battery runs down they factory reset.

The best thing to do is leave them connected to the charger when not in use. Sprite Backup is an excellent product for recovering from a "hard reset", whether it's deliberate or caused by your batteries going flat.
