Hi,

Not quite sure where to put this question, but as I am a beginner here is as good as anywhere Laughing

I have a Dell X50 that I intend to add GPS and TomTom satnav software too, I will need to add the maps to a memory card from my PC to the card will I need to get a reader/writer for the PC for this, or will the PDA be able to handle this via the USB docking station that I have?

Also, I know the map info goes on the memory card, but where does the actual tomtom software go?

Thanks,
taffy

You can save yourself a lot of head aches by going for the card reader. It's so much more convenient, rilable, an faster.

You can install the programs to main memory or to storage card. The advantage of the latter approach is that you have more RAMavailable to actually run the program.

Hi lbendlin,

Thanks for the reply, i'll go along with the card reader. Would a 512mb card be enough to hold the map, software and any downloads to go with it?
