Hi, I'm having problems with my new Axim X50. Up until yesterday I was running TomTom 3 and Memory Map very nicely with no problems on a Dell Axim X5. I have setup my new X50 with the same data files IE OS Maps for Norhwest England region 7 and the TomTom software with uk maps . I tested both apps during the day and both worked fine. Later on I launched Memory Map and suddenly I got an error saying "Unable to load map file from " the location of the map? Which is installed on a Kingston 512 SD card. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, reformatting the card with the PDA etc etc but still no joy! This was working fine earlier in the day?? Anu ideas anyone? Sad

Hi there,

This has occasionally happened to me. This is normally when my PDA is not able to read the memory card for some reason. I assume that TT is still working and that this is not the problem.

When you de-installed did you make sure that the entire MM software was removed, including that program data files. Somewhare in the program data there are the default setttings in userdata.mmo file. Deleting this will delete all your waypoints etc, but may solve your problem.

Thanks for the reply, I've managed (not sure how or what I did to sort it!) but it's working again. I tried so many different things that I'm not sure what fixed it. Anyway it's working again so I'm a happy bunny!! :D
