Bluetooth serial port opening and closing takes a significant amount of time - it's no wonder your code was causing problems if you were opening and closing the port!

I am just starting to dive into GPS-programming and would appreciate it very much if you could provide some suggestion leading to useful literature belonging to this?

Especially I have two main questions for now: what has to be taken into consideration when running TWO apps on a PocketPC sharing ONE port for the GPS receiver? Is there some literature on programming "virtual" ports or so?

And one main question is: which is the best starting point? Do i go with a MFC class (eVC 4.0) that encapsulates the NMEA protocol, or should I use a special SDK?

I will appreciate every word from you gurus very much, since I am absolute novice here...
